This is another example of me playing with a macro lens and depth of focus. I like the narrow depth of focus that a macro lens provides and the closeness that can be achieved. However, I find that it can be tricky to make sure that your depth of focus isn’t too narrow. Many times the aperture needs to be smaller than you think. The depth of focus is dependent on the distance between the object and the lens. If the object gets really close, the depth of focus can become very tiny, so that even the head of a pin is not entirely in focus.
