Grandma served in the military, raised a whole heap of children and is probably unmatched in her quilting skills. I remember as a teenager having a quilt set up in our living room for most of a year while we all worked on trying to get the intricate quilting pattern done. Grandma showed up to visit for Thanksgiving and saw the quilt only half done and sat down and finished the whole thing in one weekend. Her stitches looked almost machined they were so straight and small.
Her posterity now is something on the order of infinite grandchildren and uncountably infinite great grandchildren — to a first order approximation. (Can you tell I’ve been taking physics classes again?)
